Char Dham Yatra In Himalayas 10 Nights /11 Days

Duration : 10 Nights / 11 Days

Day 1: Delhi – Haridwar (230 kms / 06 hrs)

Arrival in Delhi, pick up from airport/railway station and drive down to Haridwar. Check in at hotel and relax. In the evening, visit Har Ki Pauri for the famous Ganga Aarti ceremony. Overnight stay at hotel.


Day 2: Haridwar – Barkot (200 kms / 08 hrs)

After breakfast, we drive to Barkot via Mussoorie. On arrival, check-in at the Camp. Night stay in Barkot.
Barkot is an ideal destination to stay for pilgrims of Shri Yamunotri, It is situated 45 Kms before Yamunotri temple, an altitude of 4000 feet from the Sea level, from where a paranomic view of the Bandarpunch Peak can be seen.

Day 3: Barkot - Yamunotri - Barkot - (36 kms drive & 6 kms Trek one side)

Early morning after breakfast, drive to Janki chatti, start trek to Yamunotri 6 kms. You have an option to either walk or hire Pony or by Doli. Costs for Doli and Pony are not included in package.
After a dip in the holy Surya Kund (hot spring), visit Yamunotri temple for "Darshan" and Pooja of pious "Yamunaji" at Divya Shila.
Return to hotel and overnight stay.
Yamunotri Temple - Situated at an altitude of 3290 meters above ocean level in Uttarkashi area of Uttarakhand, the Yamunotri Dham is the first hallowed destination of the Chardham Yatra. This Dham is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, who is regarded as the daughter of the Sun God, Surya Dev. The sanctum lies in the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayas, however the real wellspring of stream Yamuna, Sapt Rishi Kund (a solidified pool of ice and glacial mass) is situated on the Kalindi Mountain at a stature of 4,421 meters above ocean level. From the Kalindi Parvat the stream flows down to the Bandar Poonch range, which is adorned by a wild bloom.

Day 4: Barkot – Uttarkashi (155 kms / 06-7 hrs)

This morning after breakfast, check out from hotel and drive to Uttarkashi. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Later visit Vishwanath Temple. Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.


Day 5: Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi (100 kms / 03 hrs one side)

After breakfast, we proceed to Gangotri via the picturesque Harsil valley, Bhagirathi River and the most magnificent view of the Himalayas. Reach Gangotri, darshan and pooja at temple. Return to hotel and overnight stay at hotel.
Gangotri - The Eternal Gift Of Lord Shiva’s and Bhagirath's penance, Hindus consider Gangotri the source of the Ganges, although the actual source is the glacier at Gaumukh, another 18 miles upstream. Gangotri is an ideal location, here is the mystical aura that India is so famous for. The town has two important ritual centers. The first is the Ganges itself, which is considered the Goddess Ganga in material form. Pilgrims bathe in it, and perform rituals beside it. The other important center is the temple of Goddess Ganga. Gangotri also has a strong historical past and bears the eternal feel of antiquity, but it is an equally favorite destination of an intrepid traveler and for the one who is looking for solace in the Himalayas. The river itself begins at Gangotri which literally means Ganga Uttari or Ganga descending. She came to be called Bhagirathi at her legendary source.


Day 6: Uttarkashi - Guptkashi (220 kms / 09 hrs)

After breakfast, check out from hotel and drive to Guptkashi. Reach and check – in at the hotel/camp. Overnight stay.


Day 7: By helicopter to Kedarnath

Early morning at 6:30 am report to helipad. Fly to Kedarnath. After performing pooja and darshan, fly back. Transfer to hotel and overnight stay at Guptkashi.
Kedarnath Temple - Situated at around 221 km from Rishikesh, the Kedarnath temple lies against the backdrop of the picturesque Kedarnath ranges at an elevation of 3,580 mts. The stunning Kedarnath shrine is concealed by the snow hung crests. The temple was built by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century A.D. The view of the flowing Mandakini river and the snow covered Himalayan peaks make Kedarnath a haven for peace seekers.


Day 8: Guptkashi - Badrinath (250 kms / 08-9 hrs)

After breakfast, check out from hotel and drive to Badrinath. On arrival, check – in at hotel.
Evening Visit Badrinath temple for Aarti ceremony.
Badrinath temple - Undoubtedly the most popular among the 108 sacred holy places of worship for the hindus is badrinath, the temple built to honour the penance of Lord Vishnu under the sacred Badri tree. Thousands of pilgrims visit this holy temple every year and it is one of the ‘dhams’ (homes of the Divine) in the popular char dham yatra.


Day 9: Badrinath – Rudraprayag (160 kms / 06 hrs)

After a dip in the holy Taptkund visit & darshan of Badrivishal. Brahamakapal is significant for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus). There are other interesting sightseeing spots like Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Bhimpool ( Bridge ) and the "Mukh" of the Saraswati river all within 3 kms from the shrine.
Later drive to Rudraprayag. On arrival, check –in at hotel and night stay.
Tapt-Kund - Just beneath the Shree Badrinath Ji temple lies the Tapt Kund hot sulfur spring that has a high therapeutic worth. It is a freshwater pool with the washing area of 16.1/2 feet by 14.1/4 feet. Despite the fact that the typical temperature of the spring is 55°c, the temperature of water continues rising during the day. A dip in Tapt Kund is considered to be a cure for skin ailments.
Narad Kund - Narad Kund is in close proximity to Tapt Kund. It is accepted that the Badrinath idol was recovered from this kund. Narad Kund’s boiling hot water spring is situated under the Garur Shila and holds a therapeutic worth. Fans take a plunge in this kund before entering the Badrinath sanctuary for Darshan of Lord Badrinath
Vyas & Ganesh-Gufa - Vyas & Ganesh-Gufa cavern is situated in the Mana Village alongside numerous different caverns. It is believed that in this cavern Ved Vyas directed his acclaimed epic of Mahabharat to Ganesh and accordingly it has been named Vyas Gufa.


Day 10: Rudraprayag – Haridwar (160 kms /05 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Haridwar enroutes Rishikesh. On the way visit Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula (suspension bridge), Triveni ghat, Ashrams and temples of Rishikesh. Also visit Haridwar local Pawan Dham, Bharat Mata temple. On arrival, check in at hotel. Relax and overnight stay.


Day 11: Haridwar – Delhi (230 kms / 06 hrs)

After breakfast, check out and drive to Delhi. Dro back to New Delhi airport or railway station for return journey.
